Daisy Shah is an Indian actress, dancer, and choreographer known for her role of Rinky Shah in the Bollywood film, Jai Ho (2014).
She belongs to a Hindu Gujarati family and was born on 25 August 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her father was a manager who died in 2007 because of heart attack and her mother, Pallavi Shah is a homemaker.
She has an elder sister, Deepali Shah.
She did her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Mumbai.
She started her career as a dancer and co-danced in songs “Lagan Lagi” of film, Tere Naam (2003); “Masti” of film, Masti (2004), “Rockstar” of film, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), “Nagina Bemisal Hoon” of film, Pori (2007), “Thodisi Pee Lee Hai” of film, Department (2010), “Neeli Lomdi” of film, Khuda Kasam (2010), etc. She also assisted choreographer, Ganesh Acharya in films, Zameen (2003) and Khakee (2004). Later, she started working as a model and has done numerous modelling assignments. During her tenth standard, she won the Miss Photogenic award in the MS Dombivli contest, which was held at her local mall.
She made her acting debut in 2011 by playing the role of Ammu in the Kannada film, Bodyguard. In 2014, she played the role of Rinky Shah in the Bollywood film, Jai Ho. She has also acted in many other Hindi and Kannada films like Aakramana (Kannada, 2014), Hate Story 3 (Hindi, 2015), Ramratan (Hindi, 2017), Race 3 (Hindi, 2018), etc.
She has appeared on various popular magazine covers like Fablook, Just Urbane, Buddy Life, TMM, GnG, Wedding Vows, etc.
