Karan Oberoi is an Indian actor, singer, and producer. He is popularly known for his role of Raghav Oberoi in the TV serial, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin (2003-2006).
He belongs to a Sikh family and was born to Bhpinder Jit Singh Oberoi (Father) and Rupinder Oberoi (Mother) on 14 September 1978 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. His hometown is Chandigarh, India. He has three siblings.
He had an affair with actress, Mona Singh from 2006 to 2008.
Karan Oberoi did his graduation in Nautical Science from National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) in Chennai.
He started his career as a model and has done numerous modelling assignments. He made his acting debut in 1995 by playing the role of Bobby in the TV serial, Swabhimaan. He rose to fame with the TV serial, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin (2003-2006), in which he played the role of Raghav Oberoi. Karan has also hosted some TV shows like Titan Antakshari and The Great Indian Comedy Show.
He made his Bollywood debut with the film, Kiss Kis Ko (2004). In 2013, he did a TV film, Survival Code, in which he played the role of Raminder Singh.
At a very young age, Karan Oberoi started getting training in music. He plays over 20 instruments. Later, he became the part of a band, A Band of Boys. In 2002, the band released their first single, Meri Neend Ud Gai Hai which came out to be hit. After that, their second song, Tu He Mera Pyaar Gori also came out to be a big hit. Some of their albums are Nain Katari, Aa Bhi Jaa, etc. They have also given numerous live performances all over the world.
Apart from that, he has also given solo performances at stage shows. He released his first single titled Challa.
Karan Oberoi is the director of a production company, Crooner Studios. He has produced several music videos for others and for his own band. He also produced a TV series, Zindagi Badal Sakta Hai Haadsa that was aired on Zee TV.
In May 2019, he was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing woman in Oshiwara, Mumbai.
