Mithila Palkar is an Indian actress, singer, and YouTuber. She is popularly known for her performance in web series, Girl In The City and Little Things.
She belongs to a Marathi Hindu family and was born on 10 January 1993 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She has one sister.
She did her schooling from I.E.S. Modern English School in Mumbai and Bachelor of Mass Media (B.M.M.) from Smt. Mithibai Motiram Kundnani College in Mumbai.
At the age of 12, Mithila started performing at stages and was the part of school’s theatre group. In 2012, while she was in college, she became the part of Q Theatre Productions’ youth theatre movement, Thespo. In the next year, she used to work as a Festival Manager at Thespo during which she interacted with several famous personalities like directors and actors. During one of the festivals, she met with actor Dhruv Sehgal after which he suggested her name to FilterCopy for anchoring a satire show, News Darshan on YouTube. She has also worked as a theatre artist and has done numerous plays like Aaj Rang Hai, Tunni Ki Kahani, etc.
She started her acting career in 2014 with the Karan Asnani’s Marathi short film, Majha Honeymoon, in which she played the role of Rujuta. She made her Bollywood debut in 2015 by playing the role of Koyal Kabra in Nikheel Advani’s film, Katti Batti. She has also featured in a number of TV commercial advertisements like Tata Tea, Maggi, etc.
She got recognition in 2016 when she played the role of Meera Sehgal in web series, Girl In The City and Kavya Kulkarni in web series, Little Things. Other web series in which Mithila worked are Official Chukyagiri (2016) and Little Things 2 (2018). Apart from that, she, along with Dhruv Sehgal featured in several YouTube videos of FilterCopy like Confusing Things Girlfriends Say, Annoying Things Boyfriends Do, etc.
In 2017, Mithila Palkar got the lead role of Indu in the Marathi film, Muramba. She has also played the lead role of Tanya in the Bollywood film, Karwaan (2018).
She is also a good singer and her first song was “Maharashtra Desha” which was released on YouTube in May 2016 in association with Bharatiya Digital Party (BhaDiPa) on the eve of Maharashtra Day.
She has also sung the title song of Marathi film, Muramba (2017) with Jasraj Jayant Joshi.

In 2016, after taking inspiration from the cup song of Anna Kendrick, Mithila Palkar recorded and published a Marathi song, Hi Chaal Turu Turu on her YouTube channel – Mithila Palkar, in which she used a cup as an instrument. Through this video, she gained huge popularity on social media.
In June 2017, she discussed about follow your passion and learn along the way during her first TEDx talk at NIT Silchar in Assam.
In February 2018, she was named on the 30 Under 30 list of young achievers by Forbes India.
Mithila has appeared on several popular magazine covers like FHM, MensXP, Just Urbane, New Woman, Bazaar, etc.
